As North Shore Veterinary Clinic's veterinary nurse, Sabrina assists Dr. Johnson during examinations, monitors patients under anesthesia and discusses pet care with our clients. Outgoing and warm, she particularly enjoys helping our patients during echocardiograms and ultrasounds. Sabrina joined the practice in July 2006. "North Shore Veterinary Clinic is a small hospital and a warm and friendly place," she says. "We've being working together so long we feel like family."

Sabrina has an American Eskimo mix named Barkley. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching TV and sports.

With North Shore Veterinary Clinic since January 1991, Sandy is a skilled and caring veterinary nurse who especially enjoys spending time with our patients and clients. Her responsibilities include assisting Dr. Johnson during examinations and surgery, monitoring and treating hospitalized patients and communication with our clients.

"I like the family-type environment," she says. "Every pet owner is treated like a member of our family. We are a small staff that gets along and works well together."

Outside work, Sandy enjoys gardening, baking, cooking, reading, swimming and watching football. She has three pets: Zeus, a German Shepherd/Labrador mix, Raven, a Bouvier, and Alex, a domestic shorthair, who has diabetes and receives insulin injections.

Calm and compassionate, Reni especially loves listening to our clients talk about their pets and making them feel welcome as soon as they walk through our door. As our receptionist, her responsibilities include answering the phone, scheduling appointments, greeting our clients and checking patients in and out. Reni joined our team in January 2010 and has a Bachelor's degree in history from the University of Illinois.

"I really enjoy working here because we have a wonderful staff, veterinarian and clients," she says. "Every day is different and it is never boring." At home, Reni cares for two Golden Retrievers named Jessie and Scout and three Devon Rex cats named Rex, Valentino and Socrates. She also spends her time playing tennis, cooking, reading, hiking and with her family.

An indispensable member of our team, Annette is not only responsible for accounting and inventory, but happily helps out wherever she is needed. She has, in her words, been a part of the North Shore Veterinary Clinic team "too long to remember." Annette has a Bachelor's degree in education.

"The staff is like family," she says. "We fill in or assist each other to make sure the clinic runs smoothly."

Annette has two Labradors and spends her free time reading, hiking, biking and volunteering.

Staff of North Shore Veterinary ClinicLuis, Maintenance

Luis has been a part-time member of the team at North Shore Veterinary Clinic for over 22 years. In the years he's worked at our hospital, Luis has developed an appreciation for the opportunity he has each day to help our patients and work with the staff.

"I really enjoy working here," Luis says. "Maintaining and keeping the clinic clean helps our patients get the care they need, and the staff here is all so nice."
